Try this simple little
technique – it will help you in a good frame of mind before your first session. Go somewhere quiet where you will not be
disturbed. Close your eyes and breathe regularly, really concentrating on your
breathing. Count your breaths until you get to 50. Then visualise in your mind
an image of yourself as being slim, active and healthy. Make this
image as bright and as sharp as you can and really enjoy this state of being.
Then say to yourself – I am really this person – this is how I am - this is how
I can be - this is how I will be. Do
this for a while, as long as feels comfortable to you then just allow yourself
to drift back to normal.
(Note do not use this if you have asthma or other breathing problems)
