When you get angry all your systems step up a gear. Your heart rate rises your temperature goes up. Your whole body is preparing you to FIGHT or RUN.
This can feel exciting. You may get a surge of energy which makes you feel more alive and this can be accompanied by a feeling of power.
The problem is you may then start shouting and even want to hit someone. And that is regarded as unacceptable.
So what do we do?

Just lately I have seen a number of people who are having problems controlling feelings of anger and frustration. I am putting together a structured programme to help here. So I thought I would post here how this goes.
Starting with an explanation of the physical effects of anger. These can be frightening to people and if they understand what is going on they feel more in control.

So let’s go through these one at a time. Are your goals
specific enough? Think about this – do you want to lose weight – fine how much?
Know how much you want to lose and visualise what that will look like. Spend
some time on this. Perhaps find a picture of someone the same height and shape
as you at your desired weight. Does that make your goal clearer?
